According to General Manager, Willem van Rooyen, providing exceptional family-friendly entertainment is one of Graceland’s top priorities. “We want the entire family to feel spoilt for choice with a variety of activities from which to choose – both indoor and outdoor. Parents can create memorable moments together with their children, or take advantage of our supervised childcare facilities so that they can enjoy some downtime on their own.”

The most exciting change has been the addition of a brand new Thunder Valley go-cart track at Graceland. With state-of-the-art go-carts and a digital clocking system, the 310m track offers the perfect challenge for the more competitive drivers and is great for family outings and team buildings. Thunder Valley is operational from Tuesdays to Thursdays between 12h00 – 22h00, and from Fridays to Sundays between 10h00 – 22h00.

Brand new children’s play equipment has also been introduced to two of Graceland’s most popular eateries Blue Bayou and Madison’s Bistro. Blue Bayou, the property’s New Orleans-themed restaurant, now boasts an outdoor modular play system overlooking the swimming pool, as well as two new trampolines. Madison’s Bistro and Family Restaurant, a New York loft-style eatery, also offers a dedicated indoor play area with TVs, gaming and a colouring-in station.

“It’s quite simple,” explains Van Rooyen. “We aim to provide a quality experience for both parents and children, one where the parents feel they have had some rest and relaxation while also providing an exciting day out for the whole family. Variety is key, so we offer a number of opportunities for children to enjoy active play outdoors on our playground equipment, trampolines, and go carts; as well as exciting indoor play area.”

Graceland’s KidzDen is also on hand with supervised childcare services available for children between 6 months and 16 years of age. For a nominal fee, youngsters are able to play on the new indoor and outdoor equipment under the watchful eye of child-minders while their parents enjoy a round of golf, relaxing spa treatment or downtime in the casino.

“Whether families are looking for an exciting day out, celebrating a special occasion, or enjoying a delicious meal while the kids play happily – we’ve got it. We want all our guests to leave Graceland feeling as though they have been on holiday,” concludes Van Rooyen
