Graceland supports SPCA with R10 000 Donation
Thursday, May 22, 2018
The Highveld Ridge Society for the Prevention and Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), is a non-profit organisation (NPO) mainly responsible for preventing cruelty against animals and also acts as a pound for stray animals. This responsibility, as well as the SPCA rules which stipulate that no SPCA is allowed to refuse admission and assistance to any animal, places enormous strain on its resources.
The primary duties of taking care of the animals cannot be performed without the support and funding. SPCA solely depends on the help of the community through fundraising initiatives, sponsorships and donations to operate on a daily basis.
Graceland Casino, Hotel and Country Club supported the SPCA by donating R10 000 towards the feed for the livestock and payment towards the vet bills.
